Our Lady of Ransom Church Kanyakumari Festival 2019 will commence on 06.12.2019 with hosting of flag at evening 6.30 pm. The 10 day long annual festival will conclude on 15.12.2019.
Our Lady of Ransom Church Kanyakumari Festival 2019
Our Lady of Ransom Church, Kanyakumari (also known “Alangara Upakara Matha Church”) is situated in Kanyakumari, opposite road of Railway station. The present time church was constructed in 1914.
Every year, in the month of December, the 10 days feast of Our Lady of Ransom is celebrated. The festival begins with hoisting of flag on the coming Friday of the conclusion of St. Xavier Church Kottar festival.
There are two Golden Chariot Cars in this Church. The first Car is for St.Mary, Our Lady of delight and the second car is for St. Joseph, the spouse of Mary.
